FLEET TORPEDO BOATS 1939
(Flottentorpedoboote 1939)

In November 1939, the construction of nine new and larger "fleet" torpedo boats (T22-30) was ordered. This was followed by six more in January 1941 (T31-T36). They were better armed than their predecessors, but a couple of knots slower. All of them were fitted with FuMO radar sets in the foremast from the beginning, and in 1944 some were given an additional instrument, a FuMO Hohentwiel, behind the second funnel.
