Died: 27 May, 1941 aboard Bismarck.

Additional notes: Heinrich Neuschwander, a recipient of the Iron Cross 2nd Class, joined the Hitlerjugend (Hitler Youth) in 1932 at the age of 13. He later served in the Arbeitsdienst, the Labour Service, and subsequently in the SA (Sturmabteilung) in Nuremberg. In 1938, he joined the Kriegsmarine and was later assigned to the battleship Bismarck where he lost his life on 27 May 1941. The corpse of Heinrich Neuschwander was picked up in the Atlantic by the Spanish heavy cruiser Canarias on 30 May, given a naval burial service with full military honors at 1000 hours on the next day, and committed to the deep.
