BISMARCK RADIO TELEGRAM

Radiogram sent by the Chief of Fleet, Admiral Lütjens, to the Commander in Chief of the Kriegsmarine, Grossadmiral Raeder at 0217 hours on 27 May 1941, it reads:

"Submitting application for awarding the Knight’s Cross to Korvettenkapitän Schneider for the sinking of Hood!"
